And if you are ever in our city, you are always welcome to come join us for worship, Bible study or some other family event that may be going on. We hope that our church can be your home.
The Durand Church of the Nazarene was established in 1922. We relocated to our present property in 1972 and dedicated our new multi-purpose Family Life Center in June 2008. Besides servicing as our main Sunday morning worship locale, our new building serves as a family recreation center throughout the week with co-ed volleyball, children’s activities and men’s basketball. Occasionally, banquets, concerts and teen activities make use of the facility. It has given us room to expand for both worship and ministry, and we are enjoying it immensely.
Our church tries to live by the motto, “A Love Worth Finding.” The interaction of young and old, married and single, parents and teens is a healthy expression that everyone who comes through our doors is special. We have an active children’s ministry program, along with a dedicated staff of youth workers. Our adult Bible studies and various ministries to singles, married couples and seniors help to balance out our concern for all members of the family. Healthy relationships are very important to us.
